An air rifle, a combat knife and drugs were seized by police as nine people - including four boys - were arrested as part of a serious violence and knife crime crackdown.
The arrests were made over the space of a week as part of Greater Manchester Police's Operation Venture. Eight weapons in total were seized as part of the crackdown, which is 'intelligence-led' .
Officers on patrol in Salford arrested a 17-year-old boy on Monday, October 2 on Basten Drive on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class B drugs.
Another boy, also 17, was arrested on suspicion of possession of a bladed article, possession of an offensive weapon and possession with intent to supply Class B drugs.
