In a recent review reflecting on his culinary adventures throughout the year, esteemed food critic Jay Rayner has praised a hidden gem in Salford.
Mr Rayner recounted his visit to Sakura Café, on St Stephen Street situated on the ground floor of a residential block, during his reflection on his 'culinary highs and lows' of the year for The Guardian.
Among the culinary highlights, Mr Rayner mentioned the Hong Kong café-style dishes, notably the mapo tofu and spicy instant noodles.
