However, it’s very low in comparison to the original Suicide Squad, which debuted at $133.6 million. There are multiple factors at play, including possible lower attendance at the movie theaters due to increased spread of the delta variant amid the pandemic, as well as the simultaneous debut on HBO Max, which keeps box office numbers low in comparison.
