SANTA BARBARA – Christine Baumgartner, Kevin Costner's estranged wife, appeared in a Santa Barbara courtroom Wednesday as a judge ruled on a tentative child support agreement for the couple. The "Yellowstone" actor will pay the former purse designer $129,755 per month in child support for their three children.  Baumgartner initially requested $248,000 monthly in support or "in the alternative, at the guideline rate of $217,300 per month, payable on the first day of each month." Costner was offering $51,940 per month. Judge Thomas Anderle granted an evidentiary hearing, and pending the hearing, Costner and Baumgartner will each be required to pay 50% of their three children's health care expenses, sports and extracurricular activities.

On one hand, Mazin’s show just earned 24 Emmy nominations — more than any other show this year besides HBO peer “Succession.” Highlights include lead acting nods for Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey; a whopping seven guest acting nods including deaf 10-year-old actor Kevionn Montreal Woodard; and another in the outstanding drama series category. Selome Hailu Though it was at one point reported that the most recent draft of Lionsgate’s “Borderlands” movie had been co-written by Craig Mazin, that involvement doesn’t seem to be true. Questions about the “Chernobyl” and “The Last of Us” writer’s attachment began to rise on Sunday, when World of Reel reported that “Borderlands” was in “post-production hell” and that Mazin had removed his name from the project, opting instead to use the pseudonym “Joe Crombie.” While the Writers Guild of America’s website does list Joe Crombie as a co-writer alongside director Eli Roth, Mazin is now publicly denying that the pen name is his. “I am not a credited writer on the film, so I cannot claim any kind of authorship of ‘Borderlands,’ much less ‘co-writing,'” he said in a statement to Variety. “I did see the report about the pseudonym, which is false. I did not use a pseudonym. If the name in question is indeed a pseudonym, all I can say is… it’s not mine.”

Variety has learned the studio is rolling out the red carpet an hour earlier than originally planned — moving from 5:45 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. local time — with the hope that the 60 minutes will allow the cast, which includes stars like Cillian Murphy, Robert Downey Jr. Matt Damon, Emily Blunt and Florence Pugh, to pose for photos and participate in interviews without going against SAG-AFTRA strike rules. Though the negotiations deadline comes on midnight Wednesday, the SAG-AFTRA board would still have to meet on Thursday to vote and confirm the call for the strike. Universal execs believe such an event may not happen before the premiere takes place.

CNN anchor Kate Bolduan apologized Wednesday after a correspondent allegedly "misgendered" trans woman and biological male Dylan Mulvaney.  Multiple LGBTQ Twitter activists ripped a Tuesday segment on "CNN News Central" during which Ryan Young reported on the ongoing backlash against Bud Light for making the trans activist a brand spokesperson. After Young referred to Mulvaney as "he" twice, Bolduan took a moment on air the next day to say, "We apologize for that error." According to the 26-year-old activist’s social media pages, Mulvaney prefers to go by "she/they" pronouns.
