The year has already kicked off with so many dramas, why not add another to your list? The Responder is another new series for BBC One and it begins tonight (Monday) at 9pm.
The four-part series has been written by ex Merseyside Police police officer Tony Schumacher, in what is his first original series for television, The BBC says that The Responder "holds a mirror up to the emotional extremes of life on the front line of British policing - sometimes darkly funny, sometimes painfully tragic, always challenging." Whilst trying to keep his head above water both personally and professionally, Chris is forced to take on a new rookie partner Rachel.
Both soon discover that survival in this high-pressure, relentless, night-time world will depend on them either helping or destroying each other.
