Ellise Shafer Noah Centineo‘s Netflix spy series “The Recruit” is headed to Seoul in its second season. The show’s Season 2 trailer — fittingly soundtracked to Green Day’s “American Idiot” — sees CIA lawyer Owen Hendricks (Centineo) embarking on a new thrilling adventure in South Korea alongside “Past Lives” actor Teo Yoo.

According to an official synopsis, the next chapter sees Hendricks “pulled into a life-threatening espionage situation in South Korea, only to realize that the bigger threat just might be coming from inside the Agency.” In addition to Centineo and Yoo, “The Recruit’s” six-episode second season features series regulars Aarti Mann, Colton Dunn, Fivel Stewart, Kristian Bruun, Kaylah Zander, Maddie Hasson, Angel Parker and Vondie Curtis-Hall.

Other key cast members include Young-Ah Kim, Felix Solis, James Purefoy, Do Hyun Shin, Sanghee Lee, Omar Maskati, Brooke Smith, Devika Bhise, Alana Hawley Purvis, Daniel Quincy Annoh, Jesse Collin and Nathan Fillion.

Season 1 premiered back in December 2022, and the series’ second season was named one of Varety‘s most anticipated shows of 2025. “The Recruit” was created by “The Rookie’s” Alexi Hawley, who serves as showrunner and executive producer as well.
