‘The Quiz With Balls’ Renewed for Season 2 at Fox
variety.comEthan Shanfeld “The Quiz With Balls,” the high-stakes game show hosted by “Saturday Night Live” alum Jay Pharoah, has been renewed for Season 2 at Fox.
Each episode of the series pits two families against each other, answering multiple-choice trivia questions and competing for $100,000.
The contestants stand over a pool of water with giant balls looming above them. If they choose the correct answer, the ball rolls down and stops just before hitting them.
If they screw up, the ball pummels down the ramp and whacks them into the water. As each team loses members, the questions get harder, until one “dry” family member remains and plays for the $100,000 grand prize. “During its first season, ‘The Quiz With Balls’ really broke through, thanks to a mix of engaging playability, comedic physical stakes, and our terrific host Jay Pharoah, who artfully invites viewers into the fun,” said Michael Thorn, president of Fox Television Network. “Not to mention, our long-time production partners at Talpa and Eureka have a few new tricks up their sleeves for Season w, which made renewing this popular game show a must.” “The Quiz With Balls” debuted on Fox in May 2024.
