New horror film The Platform has left Netflix viewers on social media extremely disturbed. The Spanish thriller first premiered at Toronto International Film Festival last year and is from director Galder Gaztelu-Urrutia.
The plot follows a group of inmates who are imprisoned inside a vertically-shaped dwelling known as The Hole. This prison is meant to treat all the prisoners equally by lowering food with a platform to each level.
However, the prisoners higher up the structure begin to hoard and take more of their fair share, resulting in discord, violence, and dark intent.
