‘The Pitt’ Premiere In Los Angeles Canceled Amid Raging Wildfires
deadline.comThe upcoming Max medical drama series The Pitt has become the latest project to get its Los Angeles red carpet premiere canceled.
A decision was made Tuesday night to scrap the event, scheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 8, out of abundance of caution. It comes as high winds continue to batter the Los Angeles area, triggering multiple wildfires that have destroyed homes and led to the evacuation of tens of thousands in Pacific Palisades, Santa Monica and neighborhoods around Pasadena.
People from the entertainment industry are among those who have lost their homes, with a number of them currently under mandatory evacuation.
Amid the chaos and the destruction and with the windstorm expected to continue into Wednesday, the team behind The Pitt premiere made the call to cancel it.
