The folks behind the Altrincham Market and Mackie Mayor foodhalls have bought a pub in Cheshire. They will be taking over The Nag’s Head in Houghton Moss, just outside Tarporley.
They’re joining up with Tender Cow, one of the operators at Altrincham Market, Mackie Mayor and the Picturedrome in Macclesfield on the venture, along with Honest Crust and Little Window, and Picos Tacos.
What’s more, Tender Cow will actually be rearing and butchering its own animals for the menu, in an effort to maintain maximum sustainability.
They’ll also be using local suppliers such as Littlewoods Butchers, and the Cinderwood Market Garden in nearby Nantwich. The Nag’s Head announced its closure on New Year’s Eve in December 2019.
