Mr Allison told Lanarkshire Live : "While we appreciate the great work that Boris Johnston has done for the UK since his election we are disappointed in his handling of this affair. "A leader should be above reproach and therefore we support our own leader Douglas Ross in the position he has taken."Mr Ross became embroiled in a spat with members of his own party after he stated that Mr Johnson should quit, with Jacob Rees-Mogg, the leader of the House of Commons, who called Mr Ross a "political lightweight".Mr Ross said: "I have to say his position is no longer tenable.Read more on dailyrecord.co.uk
