A young girl brought a smile to the faces of police officers in Stockport by giving them a massive haul of treats. The youngster, called Freya, called into Cheadle Heath police station on Wednesday to leave a stash of chocolates, buns and cakes for officers.
The kind act was part of a growing online movement that aims to encourage people to leave gestures of thanks for emergency service workers.
A Facebook group called 'Hit the Ambulance Gamers' has more than 50,000 members across the country. It aims to 'hit' the emergency services with kindness.
As well as safely leaving treats out for police, ambulance and fire crews, it also encourages people to smile and wave at emergency workers, and let to let them jump the queue if they are seen
