Autumn is well and truly underway which means nature is putting on incredible displays at parks and gardens across the country.
Leaves have transformed into a blaze of yellows, oranges and reds. New research has now revealed the most picturesque gardens to make the most of this time of year - and two are within easy reach of Manchester.
Tatton Park in Cheshire has been named the second most beautiful garden to visit this autumn, beaten only by Kew Gardens in London.
It was closely followed in third place by Dunham Massey, only a stone’s throw away from Greater Manchester. The study, conducted by the life insurance team at Compare the Market, looked at the number of Instagram posts for each garden and the average monthly search volume to find the most popular picturesque gardens to head to at this time of year.
