Despite the rise of streaming platforms over the past decade, DVDs are not entirely obsolete. Some films and shows are still not available online, making them valuable on second-hand sites.
Online gambling site Bally Casino conducted a study to determine which DVDs could fetch a high price, and the results are eye-opening.
So that huge pile of DVDs taking up boxes or shelf space could in fact be worth a tidy sum in the run up to Christmas. The Carry On Film Collection, a complete box set of all 31 films made over 34 years, tops the list with an average resale price of £350.
Following closely are three classic films, including Monty Python and the Holy Grail's limited edition Castle Box Set, and the Blade Runner Ultimate Collector’s Edition Briefcase, which includes multiple versions of Ridley Scott's films and collector memorabilia.
