This was the moment a thug was caught on camera attempting to throw drugs and phones into HMP Forest Bank. David Tierney, 31, was spotted by undercover officers as part of Operation Dragonfire after he managed to breach the perimeter fence.

He then made his way towards the wall of the prison whilst carrying a rucksack, before he was tackled by an officer. When officers searched the bag they found numerous iPhones, small Zanco phones, charging leads and SIM cards, as well as packages of drugs. Both were jailed earlier this week after Robinson admitted robbery and Tierney admitted burglary. Jane Dagnall, prosecutor, told Manchester Crown Court that police were focussing on those who attempt to bring in or ‘throw over’ items into HMP Forest Bank, as part of Operation Dragonfire.
