Waterfalls are one of nature’s delights. Whether they’re several metres tall and powerfully gush down over cliff faces, or are tiny streams tumbling over smooth pebbles, there’s something about them which leaves you feeling awe-inspired.

The UK is home to some incredible waterfalls, and you’ll find some of the best ones among the fells and lakes of the Lake District, making them easy to visit from Greater Manchester.

Aira Force at Ullswater and Rydal Falls at Rydal may be among the most well-known of all the Lake’s waterfalls, but there’s one which has a rather unique location that might not be on your radar.

Ritson’s Force is a series of waterfalls located in the Mosedale Valley, near to England’s tallest mountain, Scafell Pike, and a stone’s throw away from Wast Water, England's deepest lake.
