Greater Manchester schools have topped the league tables for the North West in a new guide for parents. The Sunday Times Parent Power Guide for 2024 has gone live today (Friday).
And a number of our schools from our region have been named as among the best in the entire region. Altrincham Grammar School for Girls, in Bowdon, Trafford, has been named the number one state secondary school in the North West, and the 10th best in the country.
Altrincham Grammar School for Boys has been ranked in second place, and the 21s best in the country. Bosses have also crowned it as Secondary School of the Year for Academic Performance in the North West. Cheadle Hulme High School in Stockport has been named Comprehensive School of the Year in the region. Withington Girls' School tops the North West league table for Independent schools, and is ranked as the 19th best in the country.
