House prices in the borough have increased by an average of 47.6 per cent over the last five years, according to interior design magazine Homedit.
That’s 24 per cent above the UK’s average increase. The area places third out of all 377 UK local authorities. Second best in the North West is Trafford, ranking sixth overall in the country.
Trafford's house prices have increased by an average of 43.8 per cent, 20.2 per cent above the UK's average increase. Third in the northwest is Rossendale, which has the ninth largest increase in the country.
