Jamie Lang Announced from the Annecy Animation Festival today, L.A.-based Entertainment management and production company The Gotham Group and legendary French art school Gobelins Paris have embarked on a strategic partnership to nurture and connect aspiring artists, storytellers and creators on both sides of the Atlantic.
According to a joint release from the organizations, the new platform “will drive innovation and cultivate talent in the dynamic world of animated entertainment.” The Gotham Group is renowned for finding and developing exceptional artistic talent in individuals who have gone on to create culturally and commercially impactful films, series, games and more.
Gobelins has set the global gold standard for animation schools. By partnering, the Gotham Group “aims to expand its creative footprint and lean further into this fresh and exciting pool of emerging European talent.” Early initiatives planned by the two groups include workshops, seminars, mentorship programs and co-development opportunities.
Gobelins students will have expanded access to Gotham’s accomplished professionals who can provide insights into the creative and industry sides of development and production while teaching them skills that will aid their post-academic careers. “This is an opportunity to mentor and support the next generation of creative visionaries,” said Gotham Group Founder and CEO Ellen Goldsmith-Vein.
