Claimants of four specific benefits could be entitled to £749 more for each payment period, the Department of Work and Pensions has confirmed.
April 7 will see the annual increase in payments for various disability benefits. These include allowances such as the Personal Independence Payment (PIP), the Attendance Allowance, the Carer's Allowance, and the Disability Living Allowance (DLA).
The annual rise of 1.7 percent means that recipients will see their payments going up by between £29.20 and £187.45 every week.
Over the payment period of four weeks this equates to between £116.80 and £749.80. The highest figure is based on a recipient on the maximum payment for mobility and daily living components, though the Attendance Allowance doesn't have a mobility component, the Mirror reports.
