'The Daily Show' Cancels Republican National Convention Shows After Trump Attempted Assassination

The Daily Show with Jon Stewart is announcing a change in programming. The series has cancelled next week’s planned broadcasts from the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee following assassination attempt against Donald Trump over the weekend.

The show was going to broadcast live from the convention throughout next week. Keep reading to find out more… “The Daily Show will not broadcast Monday (tomorrow) but we’ll be back up Tuesday through Thursday from our NYC studio,” the show’s team explained in a social media post. “Our apologies for the inconvenience, but due to logistical issues and the evolving situation in Milwaukee, we need to reschedule our events on the ground in Wisconsin and will look to make those up in the coming weeks.” Authorities in Milwaukee are on high alert following thes shooting, and a joint threat assessment was created by the FBI, U.S.
