A mum-of-two who was given heartbreaking news from medics says her devastating diagnosis has saved her brother's life. Charlotte Brah was diagnosed with breast cancer aged 35 and has since been told she has weeks or months left to live.
But following tests, Charlotte discovered she was carrying a genetic mutation which has been linked to higher risk of breast and stomach cancer.
She told her younger brother, dad-of-two Dev Paddem, about the CDH1 mutation which had been found. Tests confirmed he was also carrying the mutation, and he had cancerous cells in his stomach.
