Shoppers have been warned not to use one Tesco brand salt in a recent food recall.According to the Food Standards Agency (FSA), Tesco's British Cooking Salt may contain small pieces of plastic, making the 1.5kg bag unsafe to eat.
The recall came accompanied by a "do not eat warning" by the FSA.If you recently bought the £1.90 product, look for the relevant batch code which is 3200.
Anybody affected by the recall has been encouraged to return the product in stores for a refund with no receipt required. The cupboard staple was the subject of a food recall issued on July 28.
The warning says: "Tesco is recalling Tesco British Cooking Salt because it may contain small pieces of plastic. The possible presence of plastic makes this product unsafe to eat.""If you have bought the above product do not eat it.
