The dad of a woman who was strangled to death during sex in an Aberdeen flat broke down in tears as he recalled their last conversation.
Chloe Miazek, 20, was killed by Mark Bruce in his flat in the Rosemount area of the city in November 2017 after meeting her at a bus stop during a night out in the city.Bruce was sentenced to six years in prison in 2018 after admitting culpable homicide.
The pair, who were strangers, had been out separately in the Granite City and making their way home from nights out. Hours later, the 32-year-old choked her to death while they had sex at his flat.Five years on from her death, Bob Miazek told how his "world collapsed" after receiving a call from police and revealed the lasting impact the case has had on his family.Speaking on Laura Whitmore Investigates, a new ITVX programme, Bob said the last conversation he had with Chloe was about buying her 21st birthday dress.
She died eight days before her birthday. Bob recalled: "I was like, 'sure, as long as you don't go and spend it at the pub'."So, she said she wasn't going to go out.
