Tesco making major change in stores that every air fryer owner should know about

Tesco has issued a message to anyone with an air fryer and says that it starts "next week".For the first time, certain products instore will include instructions for cooking them in an air fryer, with hundreds of own-brand products set to have them in the future.Four lines of new chilled potato products will hit shelves on Monday with the new instructions, with three lines of chicken to display them in October.

Birmingham Live reports that this is the beginning of a "major" rollout of air fryer cooking instructions that will eventually cover over one hundred of Tesco's own-brand products.Four lines of new Own Brand chilled potato products - Maris Piper Chips with a salt & pepper seasoning, Skinny Fries, BBQ Sweet Potato Wedges and Hasselback Potatoes with a Garlic and Parsley Butter will have labels featuring the air fry symbol as part of the back-of-pack cooking instructions.As well as this, three new Tesco Own Brand Frozen Breaded Chicken products - Salt and Chilli Chicken Strips, Southern Fried Chicken Strips and Breaded Chicken Strips, will also feature a label with air fryer cooking instructions.

Over the next few months, more products will include air fryer cooking instructions - such as frozen chips and potato products, burgers and BBQ products, frozen bakery items, chilled party food and more.

It was revealed last year that air fryers are one of the cheapest cooking appliances to use at home, and they're also healthier as they use less oil than some traditional cooking methods.
