pic.twitter.com/WiWQrnhtCn— DiscussingFilm (@DiscussingFilm) September 9, 2024It is the latest in a long line of popcorn buckets which first gained traction with Dune: Part Two’s bucket, which went viral due to its suggestive look. This was followed by a Deadpool & Wolverine popcorn bucket which featured Wolverine’s mouth open in a similarly suggestive pose and also went viral.Elsewhere, Alien: Romulus designed popcorn buckets were also praised by fans.Meanwhile, the trailer for Terrifier 3 was shared at the end of last month.Writer and director Damien Leone and Priscilla Smith, president and founder of French distributors The Coven, recently revealed that the third entry in the franchise will amp up the gore even more than its predecessors, and will carry a significantly larger budget. The original film in the slasher series, Terrifier, came out in 2018.

Written and directed by Damien Leone on a budget of just $35,000, it kicked up a storm on social media thanks to its high levels of gore and earned enough at the box office for Terrifier 2 to be green-lit.Made for around $250,000 (£191,228), the sequel (again helmed by Leone) built on this reputation, reportedly causing people to pass out in cinemas and taking more than $15million (£11.5million) globally.
