Terrified residents woken 'by car revving' before suspected double stabbing

Neighbours have described being woken by a car late at night when a suspected double stabbing saw two people taken to hospital.

One person was taken to hospital in an ambulance from Barrington Street in Clayton following the incident at around 11.10pm on Sunday.

A second person later presented at hospital with injuries that police believe are connected to the incident. Police said they suspect the incident was a "targeted assault".

Neighbours have spoken out following the incident - with some saying that they were woken by the sounds of a car late in the evening.
