The Miami Open tennis tournament kicks off this week and Denmark’s Holger Rune and Greece’s Stefanos Tsitsipas were just two of the ATP stars who volunteered during the Miami Open Unites campaign on Monday (March 20) in Miami, Fla.
This day of service helps South Florida’s most vulnerable in various philanthropic initiatives across Miami-Dade County. ATP players who participated included Italy’s Jannik Sinner, UK’s Andy Murray, USA’s Sebastian Korda, Australia’s Alex de Minaur, Norway’s Casper Ruud, and Argentina’s Diego Schwartzman.
WTA stars included Czechia’s Marie Bouzková and Karolina Pliskova, Spain’s Paula Badosa, Switzerland’s Belinda Bencic, France’s Carolina Garcia, and Poland’s Magda Linette.
Volunteers assisted Rebuilding Together in painting and landscaping the home of Miami-Dade County’s veteran, Thomas Coates, retired Air Force E6 Sergeant.
