Temporary train timetables will be in place on Sundays as drivers' pay dispute continues

ScotRail is introducing a temporary timetable on Sundays as the drivers’ pay dispute rumbles on.This follows the introduction of temporary timetables for the rest of the week.The train operator has brought in the temporary change as a result of a significant number of drivers declining to make themselves available for overtime or rest day working following a dispute about pay. The changes to the timetables follow an announcement earlier this week by drivers’ union ASLEF that its executive committee has rejected ScotRail’s improved 4.2 per cent pay offer.This offer wasn’t put to a formal ballot of members.Customers will be able to see the new temporary timetable for Sunday on our website and app from Saturday morning.All temporary timetables can be viewed on the ScotRail website at https://www.scotrail.co.uk/timetable-updateLast week, ScotRail added late-night services to timetables for Fridays and Saturdays and this will continue this weekend.David Simpson, ScotRail Service Delivery Director, said: “We’re sorry to customers for the disruption on Sundays over recent weeks.
