Four teenagers have been arrested after a devastating fire left people unable to return to their homes in Cheshire. Neighbours were evacuated after a blaze broke out at a disused building on Catherine Street, in Crewe, on Friday (August 9).
Emergency services worked throughout the weekend to get the fire under control. Those who were forced to flee their homes were offered space to rest at the Crewe Lifestyle Centre.
At the height of the blaze, 15 fire engines were in attendance on Friday night, plus specialist equipment. Firefighters left the scene on Sunday evening, but efforts to clean up the area have continued today (August 12).
