A teenager was left seriously injured after a reported shooting in Gorton on Monday night (October 7). An attempted murder probe has been launched after the incident on Hampden Crescent.
Police taped off the residential street after being called to reports of the firearms discharge at around 5.45pm. A 19-year-old was rushed to hospital with serious injuries that are not currently thought to be life threatening.
Two males aged 15 and 21 have since been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and remain in custody for questioning by detectives. Crime scene investigators in white suits could be seen taking images of the scene. Residents reported hearing gunshots before seeing ambulances and police vehicles flood the residential street before the area was cordoned off.
