A woman was punched in the street by a stranger and then woke up to find him raping her. Petru-Marian Bradu hit the victim in the head as she made her way along a street in Gloucester on July 23, 2019.
The blow knocked her unconscious, providing the attacker with the chance to drag her to a city centre park. When she came round Bradu, who was 17 at the time, was raping her.
Afterward the attack a homeless man went to the aid of the victim and escorted her to the home of a relative. Prosecutor Mark Worsley told Gloucester Crown Court: "Bradu knocked the woman unconscious and took her somewhere else where it was likely that she would be discovered." Judge Ian Lawrie QC said the attack showed an "element of planning".
