Two teenagers have been convicted of kidnapping two brothers aged just two and four in a carjacking that left the victims' distraught father crying hysterically in the street.
The father was dropping off food at a friend's home in the Selly Park area of Birmingham on February 20 when his car was stolen by the boys, both aged 15 at the time, and crashed on a busy road.
The boy who drove the car claimed he stole the vehicle to settle a £40 drug debt and wrongly thought the children's father was a delivery driver, a court heard as the pair were found guilty yesterday.
