Police were called to Walker Avenue in Great Lever just before 4:45am today on Tuesday (May 4). Reece, 15, was taken to hospital with several stab wounds but later died from his injuries.
No arrests have yet been made. A large cordon is currently in place with a number of streets having been taped off, including Walker Avenue, Lowick Avenue, Linstead Avenue, and Royland Court.
Forensic crime scene officers are also currently in attendance. A file in relation to the teenager’s death has been passed to Bolton Coroners Court, a spokesperson confirmed.
