A teenage girl is fighting for her life after a crash on Friday night (July 7). The incident involved a van falling into a deep ravine, Lancashire Police say.
The incident happened around 7pm when the Mercedes Sprinter van came off the A56 Accrington Bypass slip road at Huncoat. It went through a metal barrier and into the ravine.
A 15-year-old girl, who was a passenger in the van, suffered life threatening injuries and was rushed to Manchester Children's Hospital.
A man in his 20s, who was driving the van, suffered serious injuries including a number of fractures and was taken to hospital.
