Teen boy dies after being stabbed near school as teenager arrested

A 15-year-old boy has died after being stabbed near his former school on Tuesday afternoon.Emergency services rushed to Horsforth School & Sixth Form in Leeds just before 3pm this afternoon to reports of a teenager being assaulted and seriously injured.The youngster was rushed to hospital in a critical condition but he sadly could not be saved and later died, the Mirror reports.Police have now launched a murder investigation following the incident and say a male teenager has been arrested in connection with the incident.It is understood teachers were involved in giving the boy CPR after the alleged attack outside of St Margaret’s Primary School in the Town Street area of Horsforth.

The teenage victim is thought to have been collecting another child when he was attacked.A West Yorkshire Police statement said: "We have launched a murder investigation after a teenage boy died following a stabbing.

Officers were called to the Town Street area in Horsforth at 2.57pm today after a report a teenager had been assaulted and seriously injured. "Emergency services attended and a 15-year-old boy was taken to hospital in a critical condition.

It was later confirmed that he had died. Police cordons are in place in the area while forensic examinations take place. A teenage male has been arrested in connection with the incident.
