A teen has been arrested in connection with the attempted murder of a police officer in Edinburgh. Police had launched a hunt for the driver of the black Audi A1 after it reportedly knocked a police motorcyclist from their bike on Wednesday, 11, January after previously fleeing from officers two days earlier.
Authorities had initially stopped the car on Ravenswood Avenue in the capital on Monday, 9, January, over alleged road traffic offences.
The vehicle sped off in the direction of Walter Scott Avenue as cops were forced to jump out of the way of the vehicle to avoid being hit.
The Audi was then spotted on Lindsey road at around 4.15pm on Wednesday. Motorcycle cops tried to stop the driver in the Bathfield area but the vehicle allegedly sped towards officers, striking and injuring one.
