A man has been found dead at a property in Edinburgh, with neighbours reporting a large emergency response in the street.Police Scotland confirmed a 61-year-old man died suddenly at an address in the Dalry area of the capital on Monday, with police, the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, and paramedics racing to the scene.

Mercy crews attended in Downfield Place at around 3.30pm, reports Edinburgh Live. Police have said there are no suspicious circumstances.

The details surrounding the man's death are unknown. Neighbours reported emergency vehicles on the street throughout the afternoon and into the evening.A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Officers were called to an address in Downfield Place in Edinburgh around 3.30pm on Monday, January 16, 2023 following the sudden death of a 61-year-old man."There are no suspicious circumstances and report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: "A vehicle was sent out at 7.30pm to assist police in gaining access to an address on Downfield Place."
