Jodi Balfour has joined the cast of Apple TV+'s hit series Ted Lasso.According to Deadline, the 34-year-old actress will play a 'charming venture capitalist in the upcoming third season of the Emmy Award-winning show.The South Africa native is the first new cast member to be announced and will join series regulars Jason Sudeikis, Hannah Waddingham, Brendan Hunt, Juno Temple, Jeremy Swift, Brett Goldstein, Phil Dunster and Nick Mohammed, who are all returning to reprise their roles.

Sudeikis originally played Lasso in a series of 2013 television commercials for NBC Sports to promote their coverage of the Premier League.In the commercials, Lasso was the new head coach of the real-life Premier League team Tottenham Hotspur F.C.
