'Ted Lasso' Director Pitched 4 Possible Spinoffs

While fans still have high hopes that Ted Lasso will return for a fourth season, one director on the show, Declan Lowney, has some thoughts about possible spinoffs.

In a new interview, he revealed his plans for not just one, but four spinoff shows focused on Jason Sudeikis‘ Ted, as well as other characters. Keep reading to find out more… During an interview with Awards Radar, Declan had ideas for a Keeley (Juno Temple) and Rebecca (Hannah Waddingham) spinoff, one about Roy (Brett Goldstein), another about Coach Beard (Brendan Hunt), and then Ted. “I think the most exciting one was Keeley’s pitch to Rebecca to create a Richmond women’s football team,” he noted. “We’ve seen captain Roy take over and we’ve seen Coach Beard get married and stay in England probably.

So there’s potential there for spin offs.” Declan then added that for Ted’s spinoff, which would be set back in Kansas, coaching a football league there. “If they want to do more, I’d be well up for it.

But I don’t think that’s gonna happen for a while,” he then admitted. Following the show’s season three ending, the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes started, which Jason has been seen at several times.
