A tearful Paddy McGuiness announced he's 'never been so happy' as he was told the eyewatering huge new amount raised for his 300-mile charity bike ride.

The Bolton TV presenter and funny man is set to reach the end of his ambitious Ultra Endurance Cycle Challenge on Friday (November 15), which saw him attempt to cycle 300 miles from Wrexham AFC to Glasgow on a Raleigh Chopper.

During the major feat for Children in Need, he sought assistance from Olympic superstar Sir Chris Hoy who put him through his paces with a brutal training regime and received messages of support from Radio 2 colleagues and funny man Peter Key. Ball told him over the phone that the current amount was sitting at £6.83 million, to which he replied: "I have never been this happy, it's beautiful." McGuiness seemed lost for words as he gasped and said: "It's a mind-blowing amount of money." Earlier on Friday morning, the Radio Two and former Top Gear presenter, 51, who trekked across the country on a chopper bike, told the BBC: "As usual at this time in the morning, everything's sore, everything's aching.
