A teacher has confessed to telling a student to "f*** off" after being called a "fat c***" by the "red-faced" pupil. Morgan Jones, who was the head of religious studies at Ysgol Rhiwabon in Wrexham, explained during a professional standards hearing that he reacted poorly in the moment in a school corridor.
He expressed his fear that the "aggressive" year 11 student might become violent. Mr Jones was 28-years-old at the time and has since "apologised deeply" for his conduct towards three other students, as reported by WalesOnline.
The Education Workforce Council's fitness to practise panel was informed of Mr Jones' admission regarding his remarks to a year eight student, calling him a "tramp" and suggesting he "should go back to the special class".
He also admitted to yelling at another pupil to "shut your face" and labelling a third student "a freak". Mr Jones said he had suffered a lack of support at the secondary school, where he claimed there was no effective policy in the face of challenging behaviour.
