Taylor Swift‘s new surprise album has been incredibly successful, despite having only been announced 15 hours before it came out.
Reportedly, Swift’s new record, Folklore, sold more than 1.3 million copies in less than a day. Republic Records, the record label that released it, celebrated the album’s success this week, The Chicago Tribune revealed.
The album broke the global record for first-day streams on Spotify by a female artist. It was streamed 80.6 million times, and it also broke Apple Music’s record for 35.47 million streams in less than 24 hours.
This Thursday morning, Swift took to her social media to describe her latest effort, stating she had poured all of her thoughts, feelings, and experiences into it.
