Tay bridge crash between car and tractor towing trailer leaves person in hospital

A person has been rushed to hospital after a tractor trailer overturned on the Tay Bridge following a crash. Emergency services raced to the A92, which links Dundee to Fife, after the alarm was raised at around 5.55pm on Wednesday.

The crash involved a car and a tractor towing a trailer. Ambulance crews attended and the driver of the car was rushed to Ninewells Hospital for treatment.

Their condition is currently unknown.The incident came amid reports of high winds during rush hour last night. The road was closed for over four hours while the vehicles were recovered.
