The family of a pensioner who died in a late-night horror crash on a Scots road has said they are "devastated" by the loss of their "much loved dad, papa and friend".

Michael McManamon, from Glasgow, was pronounced dead at the scene of the incident involving a Mercedes C220 and a Ford Mondeo on Friday November 28.

It happened around 11.50pm on Mill Street at the junction with Kings Park Avenue in Rutherglen, South Lanarkshire. The 73-year-old was a passenger in the Mercedes and the 80-year-old male driver was rushed to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in nearby Glasgow.

Unfortunately, he died there a short time later. The 34-year-old male driver of the Ford Mondeo was uninjured and has been arrested in connection with the incident.
