Tributes have been paid to two Scots grandparents who died following a horror crash on the A7. Police were called to reports of a two-car smash between Galashiels and Selkirk at around 3.25 pm, on Saturday, 26 November.
Authorities say a Honda Jazz travelling northbound and a Ford Fiesta travelling south collided on the A7 close to the B7060 junction.
Henry Keith Holmes, 90, from Melrose, who was driving the Honda and Janette Tait, 79, from Selkirk who was a passenger in the Ford died at the scene.
The 81-year-old male driver of the Ford was taken by ambulance to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh where he remains. Families of the two pensioners have paid tribute to the loving grandfather and grandmother in a post from police.
