Daryl Campbell, the rapper and podcaster known as Taxstone, has been convicted in the 2016 shooting at Irving Plaza that left one person dead and three others wounded.
Campbell was convicted of manslaughter in the first degree, two counts of assault in the first degree, one count of assault in the second degree, and two counts of criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree.
The incident took place backstage at a T.I. concert in New York City after a confrontation between Campbell and his rival Troy Ave, a fellow N.Y.C.
rapper. Campbell produced a gun and shot at Ronald McPhatter, Troy Ave’s bodyguard, hitting him in the chest and killing him.
