A “no VR” mod was released for the game, giving players the opportunity to play the game on their PC screen.Coomer was also asked about revisions to the recently released Steam Deck, saying that Valve is looking into a model of “monolithic updates” for the handheld, as the company doesn’t “have a completely ironed-out plan for the cadence of the hardware updates.”Interestingly, Coomer said the Steam Deck got its name as an “allusion to the form factor,” as it is an apparent reference to slang from skateboarding, sci-fi and other things the staff like.When any information will be revealed about the upcoming Valve games was not mentioned.

Elden Ring is officially Steam Deck Verified, and has been approved in every category that Valve judges compatibility on.First spotted by PCGamesN, Elden Ring has been given the Steam Deck Verified rating by Valve.This has been confirmed via Valve’s Steam Deck compatibility tester, which the company announced as a way for fans to check which of their Steam games would be compatible with the handheld PC.On Elden Ring, the compatibility tester says “this game is fully functional on Steam Deck, and works great with the built-in controls and display.”On each of the four categories that Steam Deck compatibility judges, Elden Ring passed. The testing notes that “this game’s default graphics configuration performs well on Steam Deck,” and adds that it can be played with Steam Deck’s default controls and that the in-game interface text is legible.Today (February 25), both Elden Ring and the Steam Deck have shared a launch.Unfortunately, PC players have encountered some issues with FromSoftware’s latest title.

Valve has released an online tool to help players quickly find out which games in their Steam library are Steam Deck compatible.With the portable PC release right around the corner, Valve has streamlined how players can find out the compatibility of their library on the Steam Deck. Nintendo has announced the Portal: Companion Collection will be released for the Switch this year.During yesterday’s (February 9) Nintendo Direct, it was announced that Portal and Portal 2 will both be coming to the Nintendo Switch in 2022 in the form of a collection, although no specific date was given.Nintendo also shared the news on Twitter, saying, “No lie, the Portal: Companion Collection – featuring the award-winning games Portal and Portal 2 – is warping onto NintendoSwitch this year!”Portal is a physics-based puzzle-platformer released by Valve in 2007 and uses a portal gun to allow players to link two locations together.

Valve has released an update to developers that announced Easy Anti-Cheat is now compatible with Steam Deck software.A post from Valve provides details of the support and should allow many games to be supported on the Steam Deck with minimal input from the developers.“Our team has been working with Epic on Easy Anti-Cheat + Proton support over the last few months, and we’re happy to announce that adding Steam Deck support to your existing EAC games is now a simple process, and doesn’t require updating game binaries, SDK versions, or integration of EOS. Valve has reached an agreement with Microsoft to waive the fee required for paid mods of its games that need a Havok engine license. This comes from TF2 Cut Content Wiki on Twitter, who had reached out to Valve regarding the price and payment for a Source developer repository license.
