The Rolling Stones paid tribute to The Beatles by covering their 1963 hit ‘I Wanna Be Your Man’.Originally penned by John Lennon and Paul McCartney, the Stones were actually the first to release a version of the song. They put it out as a single – their second – on November 1, 1963, exactly three weeks before The Beatles’ own recording appeared on their second UK album, ‘With The Beatles’.

Keith Richards has insisted that The Rolling Stones want to remain together for the forseeable future, as they embark on a tour celebrating their 60th year as a band.Speaking to The Sun‘s Bizarre column, Richards responded to a question about the band’s longevity. “Life’s just too interesting to die,” he said.

No Filter tour in 2017 in Germany and played 16 US dates in 2019 but their North American leg was put on hold for 16 months due to the coronavirus pandemic.They resumed the tour in September of last year. “We are thrilled to be able to announce the rescheduled dates for the Rolling Stones 2020 US tour, which will now go ahead this Fall!” the band said in July 2021.

The Rolling Stones have finally delivered a live performance of their 1966 single ‘Out Of Time’.The legendary rockers played in Madrid last night (June 1), kicking off their ‘SIXTY’ tour of Europe and the UK. As its name suggests, the run comes in celebration of the Stones’ six-decade tenure, having officially formed in June of 1962 (they’d perform their first show as The Rolling Stones a month later).

Måneskin have responded to Mick Jagger’s comments about the state of rock’n’roll, disputing the idea that young artists are keeping the genre alive.The Italian band were speaking to NME for the latest Big Read cover story ahead of a huge homecoming gig in Verona when they shared their thoughts on The Rolling Stones frontman’s views.Last month, Jagger praised the likes of Yungblud and Machine Gun Kelly in an interview with a Swedish radio station, saying the artists made him “think there is still a bit of life in rock’n’roll”.Asked about their perspective on those remarks, Måneskin singer Damiano David assessed the rock icon’s views as “a very old-fashioned way to see it”. “Nobody is ‘keeping rock’n’roll alive’,” he continued. “It’s just impossible to kill.“In my head what we’re doing is very different to what MGK is doing, which is very far from what Yungblud is doing, which is very far from what Willow Smith is doing, but a lot of artists are bringing back that kind of sound and energy: distorted guitars and real drums, to fucking play with a band with real analogue sounds, stage-diving – all the rock’n’roll shit.

Noel Gallagher has revealed that he impersonated David Bowie while working on tracks for his next album.The former Oasis musician is currently working on the follow-up to his 2017 High Flying Birds record, ‘Who Built The Moon?’.
