The Maccabees have announced the first support acts for their huge reunion show at All Points East 2025.As confirmed earlier this week, the London band are set to take to stage in the capital’s Victoria Park on August 24 for their first gig together in eight years. The performance will coincide with the 10th anniversary of their fourth and final album, ‘Marks To Prove It’.It was also revealed that The Maccabees would be collaborating with All Points East to curate the full line-up for the day, including “artists that they love, both old and new”.Now, the first wave of opening artists has been shared in the form of Bombay Bicycle Club, The Cribs, Dry Cleaning, Nilüfer Yanya, The Murder Capital, Divorce and Prima Queen.Many more acts are to be announced in the coming months, organisers have promised.

Queens Of The Stone Age have announced a second date for Sheffield’s Rock N Roll Circus 2025, along with the full line-ups for the shows.Earlier this week, the Josh Homme-fronted band were unveiled as the headliners for the festival, which is due to take place on August 27 at the city’s Don Valley Bowl.Now, due to “phenomenal demand”, a second gig has been added on August 28. The Murder Capital have announced details of their “biggest headline show to date” taking place in Dublin next year.The Irish band announced the news today (December 16) with a new post on social media. Taking to Instagram, they confirmed news of a one-off gig, which will see them head to Dublin next summer.Set to take place on July 19, the show will be held at the Iveagh Gardens in Dublin and become their biggest headline show to date.

The Murder Capital have shared footage of them playing one of Sinead O’Connor’s tracks at a live show to mark the funeral of the late singer.News of O’Connor’s passing broke two weeks ago (July 26), after the Irish singer and activist was found unresponsive in her London home. She was pronounced dead at the scene, aged 56.The update came one year after the death of her son Shane, who died by suicide.
